It’s an absolute miracle that I’m posting this as my laptop died at the weekend. Well, almost, I managed to resurrect it but had to wipe it first so have been foraging for my files and software etc in all the hidey holes where I’d safely backed (most of) it up. And the rest of this week is super busy, a work trip to Belgium then Mr S’s birthday. September is spectacularly busy actually but August was a nice balance of fun and hanging out in the sunshine.
The next day we went to Monski Mouse’s Baby Disco Dance Hall on the South Bank:
Mr S +I had a lovely evening off with cocktails, burgers + an impressive view:
We also celebrated Ben, Tara and auntie Leanne’s birthdays with cute parties + cake!
Homemade lollies have also been a hit. We’ve made easy ones using shop bought smoothies and more tricky yoghurt based ones by mixing Greek yoghurt with mashed berries and sometimes adding honey / mashed banana / coconut milk. The one in these photo is chopped fruit frozen with grape juice:Those stairgates have gone now! LS is pretty confident at getting up and down the stairs and likes the freedom. We still have the one at the top of the stairs to contain her if we need to. Like keeping her away from too many sprinkles, the pot was up-ended when when the grown-ups weren’t looking:
We’ve been out enjoying the great weather too including a trip to Box Hill with Sarah, Megan, Lissie + Erin:
A walk to Forty Hall with nana and grandad:
A walk around Myddelton House with mummy + daddy:
A rainy nature walk around Hillyfields. LS enjoyed collecting acorns (“don’t eat it!”) and sitting in puddles:
A picnic in Enfield Town park where we were joined by a ladybird that crawled over LS’s leg. She tried to feet it quavers (stolen from me!):
Collecting (throwing) apples and shelling peas:
Indoors, we’ve been dancing most Saturday mornings:
And having lots of baths to clean off the mud, sand, ice cream and sprinkles!
Hopefully there will be lots more sunny photos into September…
